ELSA Finland's National Moot Court Competition

We provide an opportunity to practice argumentation skills that are essential for a lawyer, and to deepen the knowledge of different topics of law

ELSA Finland’s National Moot Court Competition (NMCC) is a Finnish case law competition open to law students. Competition is an excellent opportunity to practice argumentation skills that are essential for a lawyer, and to deepen the knowledge of the case subject. The competition was first held in 2007.

The annual competition focuses on a pre-announced area of justice. In recent years, the subject of the competition has been: tax law, competition law, contract law and company law. The competition consists of two parts: first, there is a written part, where the competition teams draw up the claim and the defense according to the instructions of the case. The competition culminates in an oral main session.

Participating in the competition is a great way to develop your professional skills: you can practice practice arguing skills that are essential for a lawyer, and get into the topic of the case.
